| | Ghost Brackets: Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)What is a Ghost Bracket? Ghost Brackets are a way in which you can attach a motorcycle saddlebag to your bike. Ghost Brackets are custom designed to work with bolt-on saddlebags. They can, however, also be used with throw-over saddlebags. Why do I need Ghost Brackets? Would you like the ability to safely remove and secure your valuable saddlebags? Would you like to be able to do this operation in under 10 seconds? If so, quick-releasing Ghost Brackets are your answer. WIth Ghost Brackets, you can remove your saddlebags from your bike in seconds. Additionally, Ghost Brackets protect saddlebags from touching other parts of the bike which could scrape, scratch or otherwise harm the bike or saddlebag. How do Ghost Brackets work? Ghost Brackets are mounted to the saddlebags and the keepers which replace 2 of the bolts on each side of your rear fender. Once the brackets are attached to the saddlebags. they are mounted by placing them over the keeper bolts and sliding them down until they lock in place. Are Ghost Brackets difficult to install? No they are not. Most people who buy saddlebags from us usually buy Ghost Brackets as well. Instructions are provided and they consist of basically replacing a few bolts on your fender and attaching the brackets to your bags with another set of nuts and bolts. How do Ghost Brackets look? Great! The keeper bolts which replace the two bolts on each side rear fender are extremely durable, high-grade polished steel. When the saddlebags are taken off, your bike looks stock. Since the brackets are on your bags when you take the bags off there are no brackets left on your motorcycle. How hard are Ghost Brackets to take on and off? It varies, but for most people, Ghost Bracket-equipped saddlebags can be locked and unlocked in under 10 seconds. Once you get the hang of it, putting Ghost Brackets on your bike should be just as simple and effortless. |
